Off to Satellite Beach, Florida!

Right now I'm in the tiki hut at the house of a golf friend of Russ's from Massachusetts. We are here (Satellite Beach, on a skinny peninsula by Melbourne on the Atlantic side of Florida) because three other golfing friends flew down from Massachusetts for five days of golf.

It took about four hours and fifteen minutes us to drive here from Naples.  Russ warned me the sights on the ride would be boring.  He was correct.

miles and miles and miles of orange orchards

There are several bridges that connect Satellite Beach to the mainland.  Yesterday Lisa (at whose house we are staying) and I walked one of the bridges while the boys golfed.

doesn't look it...but it is all uphill to the center of the bridge
proof I need to exercise and lose a few pounds!

Lisa and I next stopped to have a relaxing pedicure and foot massage.  Then she drove my by the Atlantic Ocean so I could see it:
sharp shells in the water make swimming almost impossible at this beach
We had to rush back to the house to babysit Lisa's seventeen-month grandson, CJ.  We have seen him daily so far.  "Auntie Judy" is having a ball!

my turn at being swimming pool guard
love this backyard!
