Yesterday afternoon, the waves at Delnor-Wiggins Pass State Park Beach equaled the anger of the water we saw weeks ago in Venice. I have never seen the beach so empty!

the wind came from the west, right off the gulf |
Check out this video to hear the waves!
We also got to see another newly-dead starfish.

Trivia: This pelican is age 3 or older since it has a white head. |
These pelicans are under the age of 3 since their heads are brown. (We learned this on our Naples Bay boat tour a few weeks ago.) |

This afternoon, Russ and I went to First Watch, a restaurant that is open for breakfasts and lunches. I am quite familiar with this chain of restaurants because my Uncle Homer and Aunt Billie loved one of the First Watch restaurants in nearby Fort Myers. Russ loved it! He scolded me for not earlier in our stay raving over the food and atmosphere when pointing it out in the Hobby Lobby plaza. The good news: A new First Watch restaurant is slated to open this summer in North Port!!!
happy after hearing that first-time customers get a free fruit crepe...Russ somehow has a way of getting free food, right Paul? |
