Art Museum, Ribs, and Waves

Latest adventures...a few days ago Hannah and I left the men and went to the Baker Museum of Art in Naples.  Unfortunately, photography was not allowed inside the museum.  Here are some of the works of art of which I was able to take photos:

outside the museum entrance

oversized sculpture by Hanneke Beaumont

Hanneke had a terrific exhibit of these inside the museum.  I found a great link to her work:

This blown glass sculpture by Dale Chihuly was inside the Philharmonic, right next door the the Baker Museum of Art.

a marble sculpture in progress...

Later, we went to Rib City.  Russ's and Paul's dad helped build much of the inside of this restaurant when it was called "Uncle Syd's."

Today, Paul and Hannah went to visit some friends who have a house in Naples.  Russ and I spent some time at the beach.  Lots of wind and crashing waves today...great day for kite flying.

A man from Saugus, MA, was flying several kites.  We got a hoot out of this kite (made by an Englishman) called "Lesley's Legs."

Kite-Surfer (the kite did not get into the photo, alas)

Russ stated that a line in the song "God, Bless America" came to mind: "to the oceans, white with foam."

LOTS of foam!!!

enjoying the view

Yup, "R + J" inside a heart!
