We went to Naples Zoo this past week. It is not a large zoo. The highlights were a short animal presentation and a boat ride around the small lake. Here are some of the sights:
Of course, we continue to enjoy Delnor-Wiggins Pass State Park Beach, just 2.7 miles from the driveway of our rental condo:

This week we also drove to Venice, a town half an hour northwest of North Port. Here are some photos taken at Venice Beach:

Today we went to Tanger Outlets, a place that my sister-in-law Hannah and my cousin Janet loves!

Next, it was off to Doc Ford's Rum Bar & Grill. This great restaurant is located right before the bridge that leads to Fort Myers Beach. What a wonderful place!!! This spot is definitely a place to take my brother and his wife! It reminded me greatly of Cape Cod.

Doc Ford's has also has a lower level for dining; this photo was taken from my seat in the upper, covered level |

We left the restaurant and traveled west over the Forth Myers bridge to the beach road:

We continued south and next stopped at Lovers Key State Park located on the Fort Myers/Bonita Springs border. One has to walk a lot further from the parking lot to the beach compared to Delnor-Wiggins Pass State Park. In addition, we did not see any shaded cooking areas, which Delnor-Wiggins has. However, Lovers Key has hiking trails that Delnor-Wiggins lacks.
